  • Thank you for stopping by! I believe photography captures the essence of love: an emotion, a memory, a moment in time that might easily be forgotten-- but isn't. The way I capture a photo isn't necessarily conventional... but that's what makes me- me! I'd love to meet, chat, have some chai and sit in an old coffee shop. If that sounds like you, check out some of the images and lets get together!

Kaylee + Luke: Engaged

All love stories I get to capture are special, but this one is unique because I was at the beginning stages… Almost 10 years ago.

Kaylee and Luke met in high school where Luke told everyone “Kaylee was the prettiest girl in class…”

You know how that works, right? You tell so many people that eventually it gets back to the person… yep that’s what he did. haha!:)(Love ya, Luke!)

Though they graduated high school without ever “officially dating”, Luke knew Kaylee was special and continued their friendship over the years.

And I’m so glad that today I get to write that he indeed won her heart. I’ve never seen either of them more in love or more happy than they are right now. They are truly God’s best for each other and I’m so excited I had the privilege of photographing their sweet engagement.

Congratulations you two! Love you both!

Moved with Compassion

Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched him. “I am willing,” He told him. “Be made clean.” Mark 1:41

The past few days have been a whirlwind of adventures, emotions, and divine appointments.

We’ve spent a mere 2 days getting to know a couple who have been moved with compassion. Their hearts for the people of Calcutta has certainly put our lives into perspective and challenged us at our deepest core.

We were able to visit them in their homes on day 1, and over coffee we were privileged to hear the hardships, sacrifices, failures and joys of the past 14 years in Calcutta. It”s truly amazing.

Though I’m not able to share the full context due to security reasons… I will say we were able to hear from a group of people who’s lives have been miraculously transformed by the power of Christ and this couple’s sincere obedience to the voice of God.

As I’m continuing to process through the things I’ve seen the past few days that I cannot share online, I was reading in Mark about a leper who came to Christ saying, “If you are willing, you can make me clean…”

And Christ, who was “moved with compassion” , says “I am willing– be made clean.”

I think about this couple’s dedication to the lives of those broken men and women.. upon hearing their stories they’ve been moved with compassion to believe for their freedom… their life restoration.. their healing… their cleanliness..

Many times risking their own freedoms, their own sense of security and their own dreams.

As we all talked with this couple, amazed at their devotion and sacrifice, they tell us: “It’s not our job to change people.. We can’t do that. We simply provide a place, a safe haven and atmosphere where God can work in their lives. God changes hearts- not people.”

Simply amazing.

When you pray, please pray for this couple. For strength, wisdom, guidance, supernatural favor and peace in the journey that lies ahead.

It’s God’s love that brings us together

Woke up this morning with a sweet text from Jose and a warm bed…

How wonderful it is to be in India and able to stay with a family who loves Jesus so much!

As I walked into the living room, I was met by Aunty.. (Godwin’s mummy) who joyfully exclaimed: “It’s God’s love that brings us together! Isn’t it?”

She brings me some amazing chai and spends a few minutes telling me about how God has been so good to her and her family… in the midst of hardship, joy. In the midst of suffering, peace.

He is indeed good…

Reading this morning in Matthew.. and thought how appropriate was this man’s response to the love of Christ.

Matthew 13:45: 45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

He found the treasure and sold everything to obtain it… left everything… nothing was more important.

What does God’s love inspire us to do?

From a woman who had nothing, she gave her last coins..

From a heavenly God, he gave his only son– perfect and blameless.

What does it inspire us to do?

James 1:22 says: Do not just be inspired by the word do what it says…

Most Christians are inspired by radical stories of Christians who give it all.. the woman who gave her last coin.. The missionary who moved his family to India to reach the unreached… The student who sold her car for missions…

But why are these radical stories? Why is living like Christ commands us, something that is so different than the way every Christian should be living?

Most of us love Christ.. within limits.

We have limits. How far we will go…How much we will give… How much we will serve… We know when “enough is enough” and feel good about it because we compare our works with those who do nothing at all and bingo. Qualified as an amazing person.

It’s easy to love those who love you back.

It’s easy to give to a good cause.

It’s hard to live life sacrificially… and many cannot do it.

Enter Justin.

Justin is sacrificially living his next two weeks in silence so that some in India may have a voice. If you know this guy, he is fully of life, love and laughter, but has chosen to live in “silence” for 2 weeks to reach many in India.

Justin is just one example of what it looks like to sacrifice our comforts here for a life that Christ calls us to live.

Colossians 3:2 says: “Set you minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

I’m going to challenge you today to partner with Justin.

I’m starting by sponsoring him with $3 a day for his 2 week “vow of silence”.

Eddie + Adria

I love this couple.

We have talked for months and I’ve gotten to know their story through many emails, texts and a few phone calls.

We have been anticipating their engagement shoot since Adria’s big move down from New York and I’ve been so excited to meet them!

We laughed and talked and shared heartfelt stories through the engagement shoot and one things for sure: These two have a love that is God given.

I’m amazed at the tenderness and kindness these two share… and so happy I got to share in these moments.. and hopefully many more to come!

Christina + Jeremy

Christina and Jeremy tied the knot on October 20 at the Highlands Inn in Atlanta.

It was absolutely perfect.

Christina was one of the most relaxed brides I’ve ever had the opportunity of photographing and Jeremy and his guys kept everyone laughing throughout the day!

Christina went for a vintage look and she wore her dress with perfection. I absolutely loved it! The whole day my second shooter, Ashley, and I couldn’t stop raving about it and how stunning she looked!

One thing I really loved about this couple is their love for their family and friends. Christina and Jeremy made sure that I knew this wouldn’t be a traditional wedding, but a celebration with those in their lives they valued most.

I’m so happy I got to photograph their special day!

Congratulations you two!
